Mary's wedding

The girls (and the adults too) had a great time at Mary's wedding in Oberlin, OH on December 15th. Of course, what little girl would not have fun being doted on by her aunt, wearing a pretty dress, and throwing rose petals all over the place. . .

Prep for Mary's Wedding

In an attempt to give Mary something meaningful for her wedding (somehow giftcards don't seem personal enough for a sister!), Brenda decided the week before the wedding to make a set of Christmas ornaments for Mary and Steve. (Some of our favorite wedding presents were the Christmas decorations--they bring back memories of our Christmastime wedding every year.) Since it took 1 hour for each ornament, only 9 of the 12 were ready for the wedding, but Mary and Steve still got the other 3 of the set by Christmas. When we were there, Brenda was relieved to see that the ornaments actually matched Mary and Steve's tree. :) (She was greatful she had gone with the gold wedding color theme). And, we think they actually liked them! (The accepted risk of any gift giving. . .)

Costa Rica!!!

We just returned from a fabulous trip to Costa Rica with my parents.

We are finally getting started here!
