View photos from our new house

I've had a few requests for photos from our new house, so here are a couple of photos of the view from our home in Seattle. Once I finish unpacking I'll add some photos of the inside of our house too.

This is a sunset off our patio from last week. I think I might like east-facing sunsets better than west-facing because we get the great colors with no sun in our eyes.


Here is the view from our kitchen window. Yes, that is UW's Husky stadium there. I sure hope they have great firework displays over Lake Washington on the 4th of July or New Year's. We can see a bit of Lake Washington from the whole north and east sides of the house, but it didn't show up in this photo.

If our deck stuck out 2 more feet we'd have a great view of Mount Rainier too. Maybe if we stay here long enough we'll make that change.

All the bedrooms have north facing views (towards UW stadium and Lake Washington). Madeline LOVES her view from her top bunk that lets her see the lake--she's got the best view from bed out of all of us. :)

The view is only one of several things we love about our new house (and probably not the most important)--it is just the easiest to show in photos while our house is still getting unpacked. It does make our cozy home feel much bigger, so we love it.
